We are a traditional family run business with strong family values running throughout our company and whilst we firmly believe that team work has played a huge part in our success, we also believe in developing & forging long lasting relationships with all of our customers. In having such a huge customer base we need a large & extensive fleet of vehicles to assist us in covering our workload. Over 340 cars are amongst our wide ranging list of vehicles, all of which are fully licensed, taxed and tested, as per Sheffield City Council Licensing regulations. Equally each one of our drivers are fully licensed and insured to drive these vehicles. Our drivers pride themselves on always being well presented, clean and tidy in their appearance, being courteous to all of our passengers and always being as helpful as they possibly can. Our vehicles range from normal saloon cars to top of the range Jaguars, Mercedes, Audis, Rovers and everyone is totally smoke-free. Our vehicles are regularly inspected by our management team for safety, cleanliness and reliability and in having such a large fleet of vehicles at our disposal, we have available at virtually all times a wide selection of Saloon Cars, Executive Cars, People Carriers, Wheelchair access vehicles and Mini Buses. All of these types of vehicles may be booked in advance, as well as shortly before journey time.

Our vehicles cover in excess of 25,000 jobs per week on a 24 hour, 365 days a year service working in all areas of the City and surrounding areas. WE NEVER EVER CLOSE.

Mercury Taxis operates via a completely computerised system from booking to despatch and we monitor each and everyone of our drivers progress from acceptance to completion of each individual job Naturally we are well and truly at the forefront of all taxi innovations, including our brand new text booking service, along with our Internet booking service. These two services have recently been complemented by our IVR (Intelligent Voice Recognition) system which has now been running successfully for the past twelve months.

We currently undertake contract work for many of the prestigious businesses and companies in our City. This includes the NHS and Local Authorities, whilst seventeen (virtually all, that is) of Sheffield's Hotels use us, Mercury Taxis, as there preferred and only taxi supplier because, above all others, our reliability and consistency comes out head and shoulders above every other taxi company in the area.
