Everyone of our 340 vehicles at Mercury Taxis operates with the very la We aim to be, and indeed are, well and truly at the forefront of all taxi innovations, including our new text booking service, our Internet booking service and our IVR (Intelligent Voice Recognition) system which has now been running successfully for the past twelve months. Some of our calls take less than ten seconds to be dealt with from start to finish using our IVR service, once again giving you more time for yourself and to do other business. As soon as your booking is entered into our system we are looking out for the nearest possible driver to cover your job, with our aim always being to give you the best possible service. Our system will automatically search for the closest car to the pick up address and automatically send the job to the data unit in the vehicle. All this is done through our data despatch system, no outside agencies ever have access to our systems, thereby giving you complete peace of mind insofar as security is concerned at all times. We successfully despatch over 25,000 jobs each and every week, with an annual usage of over 1.3 million completed journies per year. Without our heavy investment in this technology then we would not be able to operate in such a successful way. So far Mercury Taxis have invested over £1.5 million in this high tech system and currently have plans to invest a further £2 million over the next two years. |
